Membership Fee Revenue Up 14% Signals Strategy Success
Costco (COST) continues to see tangible financial results from its ongoing efforts to enhance member benefits. Chief Financial Officer Millerchip noted that the company’s membership fee revenue reached $1.329 billion in the first quarter, representing an increase of $163 million compared with the same period last year—an impressive 14% year-over-year growth.
These figures demonstrate that by retaining existing members while successfully attracting new ones, Costco (COST) has effectively converted service value into actual revenue.
